Skor is a thin candy bar with a hard butter toffee center and a milk chocolate coating. Just wanted to clarify that it says zero GRAMS of trans fat. That means they have some trans fat in them, just not enough to make a full gram. If you're eating more than the serving size, you will definitely be eating more than 0 GRAMS of trans fat. Just wanted to clear that up.

At 42 I have found it much harder to lose and maintain my desired weight than I did at 32. To lower my cholesterol and to get fit, I recently I returned to working out 3x's a week and trying to eat healthier, which for me meant fewer trans fats as well as calories. The toughest part of my plan hasn't turned out to be the addition of exercise, but rather the elimination of chocolate. That was until I found these wonderful treats!



Reese's Peanut Butter Wafer Bars have all the taste of the regular Reeses cups, with a slight crunch. Covered in milk chocolate there are 2 bars per package. One box has 7 packages and there are 4 boxes in the item (box) purchased on Amazon. I tend to have one of these when I've finished a meal or as a mid-afternoon treat with a cup of coffee. It feels decadent, but it's only 100 calories!



Another bonus to these bars is that they have ZERO TRANS FAT. If you don't know what this means, it's simply the bad-for-your-heart fats (the ones that clog your arteries) are not part of the deal. "Healthy" fats can be saturated fats, of which there are 2.5g per package. Sodium is 50mg, total carbohydrates are 11g, with 8g of sugars and 2g of protein per serving (2 bars = 1 package). NOTE: these do contain peanuts, milk, wheat and soy.

My husband was excited to receive this box of Planter's Peanut Bars since they are hard to find around here. However, upon opening the box, we found that every single bar was broken into little pieces. This is a classic candy bar. I love this candy and probably rate it among the best. There is only ONE problem, and that is if you bought it at the store it would be a little cheaper. I purchased a case of 25 bars and it came to a little over a dollar a bar. I can get it at most convenient store or even CVS for about 75 cents each. not a good internet bargain. Also let me add that if you put it next to another kind of bar like snickers or almond joy it seems very little for the money. Come on Planters get with the program!

The four bags were simply shrink wrapped together and put in the box with my other items. I have only opened one bag so far but the M&M's were in great condition.

These bars are delicious - I like all the flavors (except lemon which I have no interest in trying). Chocolate Mint and Vanilla Almond are the best. They do have a bit too much sugar (20 g) and fat (8 g with 5 g saturated) though.



I ordered a box from Amazon and like previous reviewers mentioned, all the bars in the box arrived melted. They are still edible, but I can get them for even cheaper at local grocery stores. I didn't have an issue with the expiration date, as they're good for another year.
