My husband is doing P90X and wanted a protein bar to supplement his workouts. He likes the taste of these and finds they are easy to consume while he is on the go. I tried them and wasn't impressed. They taste "off" to me.

These bars are delicious - I like all the flavors (except lemon which I have no interest in trying). Chocolate Mint and Vanilla Almond are the best. They do have a bit too much sugar (20 g) and fat (8 g with 5 g saturated) though.



I ordered a box from Amazon and like previous reviewers mentioned, all the bars in the box arrived melted. They are still edible, but I can get them for even cheaper at local grocery stores. I didn't have an issue with the expiration date, as they're good for another year.

No one would recommend substituting a builder bar or the like for a proper meal, or to rely on such foods as a solution for poor eating habits, but having my teen grab a Clif Builder's bar at least provides him something better than vending machine fare on those days when he dashes off to school without breakfast. I ask him to take an apple, banana, bag of raw nuts/seeds, etc. too, but the Clif Bar is usually the first consumed. It helps get him to lunch at least, and helps prevent the mental lows that can otherwise occur with insufficient protein intake. At 20 grams protein, the bar provides approximately 40% of the daily value for protein (based on a 2000 calorie diet). I play tennis 3-5 times weekly, and keep a couple Clif Builder's bars in my tennis bag (they store well) for times when I don't have immediate access to other protein sources needed for post-match muscle repair or recovery. I order 2 dozen through Amazon "Subscribe & Save" (free shipping), which results in a cost per bar significantly lower than Walmart, CostCo, etc. I select a longer-length fixed schedule that doesn't result in an over-supply for my family, and then order when I see the supply running low. I click the option to use the current date as the basis for determining the next scheduled ship date. For those who find builder bars useful, Clif is a good one: tastes very good, natural ingredients, higher protein than most, and more affordable via Amazon Subscribe & Save.

If you are in a hurry, or not, and you like/love chocolate, eat a heathy meal replacement bar. This mint flavor is like enjoying a candy bar, but it is good for you ;-)

These are not for weight loss, they are more for athletes or body builders, although my kids really like them and so I send them with to school as a great snack, I was using them as a in between meal snack as I do work out so thats why I gave them a 5 star cause with all of the other junk snacks out there today this protein bar replaces any sweet tooths cravings all organic is another reason with no artificial sweetners and no added fillers, just to high in carbs for what I need.

I'm a female, workout regularly, not intensely. I have tried different protein bars for a long time, and these are by far the best. They are a meal replacement. But I can seriously down like three of these easily, they're that tasty. Watch out if you are a chocolate addict like me! Sitting at work having a snack, I bit into one of these bars and it must have had a walnut shell or something really hard.



Cracked a tooth in half, thank you cliff bar for my first $1,200 dollar crown. Other than that, they taste great. I will be eating them much more mindfully from here on out.
